Diploglossus lessonae Peracca, 1890 (commonly known as calango coral, calango liso, Brazilian galliwasp and named in honour of Italian zoologist Michele Lessona) is an insectivorous representative of Diploglossidae family. This species is endemic to northeastern Brazil (Rio Grande do Norte, Paraiba, Pernambuco, Ceará, Sergipe) inhabiting semiarid environments, scrub, and low forests.
